日本人の小中学生や外国人のために、やさしい日本語で書かれたNHKのニュースです。記事には振り仮名がついていますし、ニュースの朗読を聞くこともできるので、音読にはもってこいの材料と言えるでしょう。感覚的には日本語能力試験N3級程度の文法で書かれています。

This site has NHK news articles written in simple Japanese language for Japanese primary and junior high school students as well as foreign people who cannot read at native level yet. All articles have furigana on top of kanji and an audio file for you to listen to, therefore, they are suitable materials for reading aloud. Grammar used in these articles are at approximately N3 level of the Japanese Language Proficiency Test.

There are many articles and short video clips on this website and they are suitable for anyone to deepen their understanding of the Japanese culture. There is also a section for children in upper primary and junior high schools.
